The main events in Milan during July

Even during summer, our city hosts several events and exhibitions, as a proof that Milan never takes holidays.

Let’s discover together the main events in Milan during July!

Modigliani Art Experience

Till November 4th, at Mudec, you will have the opportunity to dive in the artistic life of Amedeo Modigliani, thanks to “Modigliani Art Experience”, an engaging and multi-sensory exhibition that documents with pictures, music and evocations the universe of the renowned artist and sculptor, as well as the Parisian context he lived.

Blue Note at Villa Necchi Campiglio

The Blue Note is the famous jazz club and restaurant within Isola district, and it has been entertaining Milan citizens with its refined music shows since 2003. On July 15th the jazz music of the club is going to liven up the wonderful Villa Necchi Campiglio, on the occasion of the project “Sere FAI d’Estate” by FAI.

And what’s better than an happy hour by the pool , during a summer evening, with the pleasant background music by Blue Note?

“Potere ai Piccoli” at Pirellone

Let’s now talk about an event that both children and adults are going to enjoy! Till September 20 Palazzo Pirelli (otherwise known as the “Pirellone”) will host an exclusive exhibition, “Potere ai Piccoli”: more than 30 works of art entirely made with the worldwide known coloured bricks, the Lego.

The exhibition, made by Riccardo Zangelmi, the only Italian artist who was awarded with the Lego Certified Professional certificate, is a creative path between objects, memories and fantasies and it makes us remember an absolute truth: we are still children after all.

Arianteo

We have already talked about Cinema Bianchini, the open air cinema on Highline Galleria’s roofs. This month we want to suggest you “Arianteo”, the summer open air cinema festival at Palazzo Reale, CityLife, Umanitaria and at Chiostro dell’Incoronata.

Till September 12 you can choose one of these great locations and watch one of the several movies in schedule, under the starred sky of Milan!

Taste on Top

Till July 31 Milan will have another point where you can admire the incredible skyline of the city: Taste on Top is the temporary terrace in Piazza San Fedele, a few minutes by feet from Hotel Cavour.

An exclusive place, where a stunning view over Milan and perfect cocktails will be the frame of your summer nights!

Mercatone dell’Antiquariato

On July 29 do not miss the traditional appointment with the picturesque Mercatone dell’Antiquariato at Naviglio Grande, a 2 kilometers street market where more than 380 vendors will wait for you with the best vintage objects.

On the occasion, restaurants, shops and art galleries will stay open!

Photo Ark

On the context of the modern CityLife Shopping District, you can visit for free, till September 16, the exhibition by the famous National Geographic photographer Joel Sartore: “Photo Ark” is the result of more than 10 years of work, during which Sartore has shot with its lens 8.000 animal species in captivity, in more than 40 Countries.

At CityLife you will have the opportunity to admire a selection of the immense work of the photographer, whose goal is to document the biodiversity of our planet.

These are just a few events in the city during July. We will be waiting for you at Hotel Cavour to share together this Milanese summer!
