This November is going to be particularly interesting for those who are fond of art, exhibitions and museums.
Magritte, Banksy and Picasso are just some of the artists you may admire in the city during the typical misty and cold days of this season!
At Fabbrica del Vapore, till February the 10th you can admire with an unconventional and multimedia path, the exhibition Inside Magritte, dedicated to Renè Magritte, one of the leading artists of surrealism.
The digital and multi-sensory exhibition has been curated by the Belgian art historian Julie Waseige and it covers all the art stages of the Magritte, from the first surrealist works to the after-War period and his time in the 1920’s Paris.
From November 14th tillApril 14th Mudec is going to host an ample collection of the famous faceless artist: Banksy.
It’s the very first time that a pubic museum hosts a personal exhibition about the renowned English artist.
“The Art of Banksy. A visual protest” is a project curated by Gianni Mercurio and it will gather 70 works by the artist.
Till February 17th, at Palazzo Reale you can admire the works of art of the exhibition Picasso Metamorfosi, dedicated to the relationship of the Spanish artist with the ancient and the myth. The exhibition shows more than 200 works of art that also include the ancient works which he took inspiration from, coming from the Museè National Picasso in Paris and from other important European museums.
We’ve already talked about Highline Galleria, the suspended path over the roofs of Galleria Vittorio Emanuele, a few minutes’ walk from Hotel Cavour.
Till February 24th Highline Galleria will host “Tutta mia la città”, a photography exhibition that tells with beautiful pictures the story of Milan, from the Nineteenth century to the current days: 100 great shots that document areas, places and people of the old Milan and that compare them with the Milan we know today.
And after the exhibition, every Thursday and Saturday you can enjoy a free aperitif with a stunning view over Milan!
If you are in the city with your kids, WOW Spazio Fumetto is for sure a museum that will make all the family happy! Among the numerous exhibitions dedicated to comics, we suggest you “Mondo Puffo. 60 anni di Puffi in mostra”, an homage to the famous blue cartoon characters, that this year have celebrated their 60th birthday.
You can visit the exhibition till November the 25th: the entrance is free!
After all, Milan is a city that offers so much to families, with laboratories, exhibitions and special initiatives for adults and kids. In via Solari, in the underground spaces of the former Riva-Calzoni building, you can find the Labyrinth of Fondazione Arnaldo Pomodoro, a 170 square meters path containing the works of the famous artist. In the space, the Foundation organizes many guided visits for families: with torches, parents and children will be guided in the labyrinth, in order to discover the works of art.
The Triennale di Milano has created an interesting didactic offer, with guided visits in order to bring children closer to the world of theatre, dance, performance and music.
The didactic activities and the laboratories are held at “La Balena”, a space within the museum dedicated to children, that takes inspiration from the famous Pinocchio’s whale.
You just have to organize your stay at Hotel Cavour in order to visit the most interesting exhibitions in the city!
