13 Apr Milan Capital of design: the Furniture Fair is back

The 55° edition of Milan Furniture Fair is started: from 12 to 17 April design will have a main role in our city.

Milan International Furniture Fair, which is being held in these days in the pavilions of Rho Fiera Milano, is one of the greatest showcases for the furnishing and design sectors and it has always showed the best in furniture, design and technology: the event is an important and acknowledged benchmark for the design and furnishing companies that attend the Fair with their expositions.

Among the expositions at Rho Fiera we recommend you the Salone Internazionale del Mobile and the International Furnishing Accessories Exhibition, with more than 1.300 exhibitors on an area of 150.000 sq., which is divided into two different sections: a classical one and a design one. There will also be the biennials EuroCucina and the International Bathroom Exhibition.

We also suggest you the exhibition-event that will be displayed at the pavilion 15: “Before Design: Classic”. This exhibition wants to honour what came before design: the classic furniture. The exhibition consists in a multisensory path in which a short film by Matteo Garrone, the director of Gomorra, will be displayed.

Together with the Furniture Fair, Milan will liven up thanks to the Fuorisalone: a thousand events related to design all over the city. Among the main districts there are the Ventura District (Lambrate), Brera Design District and Tortona area.

So Milan Furniture Fair is not only a fair for exhibitors, but also a great cultural event that animates the whole city in a week dedicated to design. Now we want to copy the claim of the Fair: “If you're not there, you should be". Milan becomes culturally richer with a new unmissable event!
