The artist has always distinguished himself for his particular expressive form, whose inspiration was initially drawn from Walt Disney’s comics, but then he reached his artistic identity thanks to the influence of the Graffiti trend.

From March 8th until July 2nd at Palazzo Reale there will be the exhibition Manet e la Parigi moderna, where the works of one of the most famous artists of the French Nineteenth Century, who inspired the Impressionism together with Cezanne, Degas, Renoir and Pissarro, will be exposed.

Even though Manet was identified as an Impressionist painter, he always tried to distinguish himself from this school, because he was hostile to the traditional academic method. Effectively, his artistic production has many inspirations, proving to be very rich and varied.

The works of the Russian abstract artist Kandinskij will be exposed from March 15th to July 9th at Mudec. The exhibition Kandinskij, il cavaliere errante. In viaggio verso l’astrazione will recreate the artist’s formation period through his most important works.

Kandinskij, since his youth, developed a scientific approach to reality, and his various journeys between Venice and Germany were fundamental for the path that conducted him to the Abstract Art.

It is expected for the fall 2017 the exhibition of the great Michelangelo Merisi, known as Caravaggio. His Baroque works, coming from the most prestigious museums in the world and enclosed in an inestimable collection, will be exposed at Palazzo Reale.

Caravaggio’s particularly troubled soul, his researches on light and the studies on Leonardo da Vinci defined the character of his works, that were a fundamental starting point for the Baroque Painting.
