Craft products, food and wine specialties and lots of gifts will make Milan’s most beautiful square a true enchanted place. Merit also of the small wooden huts, reminiscent of those in Northern Europe, with over 60,000 businesses in the trade. Not only: buying Christmas gifts here also means doing a good job, as part of the proceeds will be donated to the Veneranda Fabbrica del Duomo for restoration and conservation. The Village of Wonders is a real fairy tale world, ready to amaze adults and children. Between the skating rink, the rotating carousel-Christmas tree, the numerous shows for the little ones and the house of Santa Claus, there are a thousand (plus one) reasons not to miss it.

In the heart of Milan, a stone’s throw from the Statale University, next weekend comes the Santa Lucia market, dedicated to the ancient festival during which, at one time, the children received gifts. Between local crafts, milk and biscuits to taste and numerous games and activities to be done together with grandparents, the market will be an excellent opportunity to buy Christmas gifts, having fun with the little ones.

If everyone is better at Christmas, you can’t miss the Emergency Market. Many items are present, such as the recycled aluminum bracelets from Laos’s war bombs and Emergency’s gadgets like the steel water bottle. There will also be gastronomic products, donated by over 650 Italian companies, and the “Panettone made to order”, created in collaboration with the historic Tre Marie brand. For a good Christmas, in the most beautiful sense of the term.

Klaus’s special tram, Piazza Fontana, till December 23rd

Tram Klaus Natale

It’s not really a Christmas village, let alone a flea market, but the Netflix initiative for the launch of “Klaus”, the first animated film, is truly unmissable. A magical tram with Santa Claus’s post office will in fact cross the city center every day, departing from Piazza Fontana. The little ones can experience the arrival of Christmas and discover the origins of the most beloved party of the year, aboard a magical tram.
