Once again, the Milanese capital surprises, and manages to do it in the best way. Discover all the events not to be missed in October.
. Milano Film Festival, 4-10th October
It is one of the most anticipated events in the Milanese autumn, and the reasons are many: “Milano Film Festival” has entered the hearts of citizens thanks to its eclectic program that is always able to amaze. Meetings, debates and screenings will liven up the city for a week, allowing fans and the curious to discover the magic behind short films and feature films. During the days of the festival, an event dedicated to children will also be offered at the Odeon Cinema, the “Festivalino”. To mark (both) on the agenda.
. Brera Design Days, 4-10th October
Not only cinema, but also design, and more precisely in Brera: this is where free talks, exhibitions and workshops will unveil the most secret sides of design from 4 to 10 October. Target? Investigate the relationships between architecture and design, along artificial intelligence, in an open and continuous dialogue with the city. The theme of the fourth edition of the festival is entirely dedicated to Italy; all that remains is to participate from the first to the last day.
. “Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2019”, 4th October-22nd December
In the rich Milanese October, the “Wildlife Photographer of the Year” event cannot be missed, the famous exhibition with the awarded shots at the homonymous photography competition, organized by the Natural History Museum in London. One hundred images chosen among the 45,000 naturalistic shots taken by photographers from all over the world, dedicated to the wonder and diversity of nature. The appointment is set for 4 October – opening day – at the Matalon Foundation.
. Giorgio De Chirico, 25th September-31th December
“A journey full of enigmas and pictorial mysteries”: this is how the organizers defined the new exhibition at Palazzo Reale dedicated to Giorgio De Chirico, one of the visionary and, at times, most controversial artists of the twentieth century. The exhibition is a real journey within the artist’s imagination, with numerous works from major international museums including the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, the Tate Modern in London, the Pompidou Center in Paris. A must see.
. Pets in The City, 4-6th October
If you love animals, this event is for you. “Pets in the City” is the largest trade fair dedicated to all pet lovers, dogs, cats, but not only. Adults and children can enjoy three days dedicated to their four-legged friends, including accessories, furnishing items and specific exhibition areas, without neglecting the most suitable tourist destinations for a perfect holiday with their pets. To see (also) with children.
