October: the curtains are open on Milan

Autumn has already begun since few days, but Milan does not fear the first cold and opens the curtain on shows and concerts.

We have selected four events not to be missed in this month of October just for you!

First of all to mark on your agenda is Giselle, staged at the Teatro alla Scala from the 4th to the 28th of October. The romantic ballet attracts the public since its first staging in 1950 at the Milan theatre. Today the étoiles' Svetlana Zakharova and Roberto Bolle, along with the corps de ballet, tell us again the story of love, betrayal and redemption of the beautiful Giselle.

In addition to the Ballet, the Teatro alla Scala has organized, on the 3rd of October, the First of the First, a meeting in which to increase your curiosity and know more about the choreography and the plot.

For years we’ve been working together with the symbol theatre of Milan, dedicating a unique offer to all of those who want to enjoy a special evening. We combine an overnight stay at the Hotel with the shows (including Giselle) on schedule at Teatro alla Scala!

Our second advice is for those who prefer the Theatre to Ballet. At Piccolo Teatro, from 7th to 14th of October, Human is on stage. It is the new show by Lella Costa and Marco Baliani who tries to answer to the question "What is Europe and what did migrations mean over the millennia and centuries?". Starting from the Aeneid as a source of inspiration, they want to arrive to an understanding of today's society and to the definition of the meaning of humanity. The entire work is told in the form of oratory.

For those who on the evening of Sunday 18th of October want to be enchanted by the sound of classical music, the appointment is at the Conservatory G. Verdi. In the Sala Verdi, Schubert's symphonies will echo, played by great Italian artists like the Cremona Quartet, with their violins, viola and violoncello, Gloria Campaner on the piano, Riccardo Donati on the bass and Enrico Bronzi on the violoncello.

The last show that we point out is the play of Cyrano de Bergerac, scheduled at Teatro Litta from the 18th to 30th of October. Corrado D'Elia is back to tell us the story of the strong-willed cadet with the large nose in love with Roxane, who is in love with Christian, the handsome but lacking in spirit new cadet.
The story told hold intense and visionaries moments, that once again captivate his audience!

The appointments do not end there! Milan is ready for a winter season full of shows and concerts. Together with it we are ready to keep you updated and point out the best show in town.
