. The Craftsman Fair

Also this year the Craftsman is back in Milan, the largest international trade fair in the sector, now in its 24th edition. The event, with free admission, is dedicated to world craftsmanship and hosts the creations of around 3,000 artisans from over 100 different countries; a true journey of colors and traditions from all over the world, including typical handmade products and gastronomic excellence. An excellent opportunity to find the right Christmas gift.

. Canova's most important works, till February 18th, Gam

Fans of neoclassical art should not miss the Canova exhibition at the Modern Art Gallery of Milan. The ideal faces, dedicated to the genesis and evolution of the famous 'ideal heads' of Canova. The exhibition presents the most important collections of neoclassical art at national level in the beautiful setting of the Gam, which houses the original plaster model of "Ebe", the bronze bust of "Napoleone" and the marble herm of the "Vestal" , fulcrum of the exhibition. Unmissable to say the least.

. The First Diffuse, till December 12nd

Concerts spread throughout the city in the name and on the notes of Puccini's Tosca, inaugural opera of the 2019/2020 season of the Teatro alla Scala. Here is the First Diffuse, which will bring more than 50 initiatives to the city including screenings, concerts, performances, readings, meetings and conferences dedicated to the greatest work. Over 40 places of Milanese culture involved, including city spaces and squares: all to be discovered, until December 12th.

. Madonna Litta, till February 10th, Poldi Pezzoli Museum

Until 10th February 2020 at the Poldi Pezzoli Museum you can admire the painting of the Madonna Litta by Leonardo Da Vinci, which arrived in Italy directly from St. Petersburg. The canvas, included in the Leonardo and the Madonna Litta exhibition, will be displayed together with about twenty paintings and drawings, coming from public and private collections around the world and executed by Leonardo and his closest students, such as Giovanni Antonio Boltraffio and Marco d'Oggiono. A work to admire, finally, live.

. The Christmas tree, piazza Duomo

Great news for the Christmas tree in Piazza Duomo: it will no longer be a fir tree, but a modern installation, 37 meters high and composed of almost 82,000 LED light points. Not only: the animations will constantly change sounds and colors, in the name of a truly dynamic Christmas. It is the Esselunga tree, innovative and sustainable, whose parts can be entirely recycled. Ignition will take place on Friday 6 December, and will be a true technological magic.

. I love Lego, till February 2nd, Museo della Permanente

Over a million bricks can be assembled, in a play of colors and perspectives that enchants adults and children: it is the I love Lego exhibition, dedicated to the transformation of one of the most beloved toys ever. Real works of art, those created within the exhibition, among miniature worlds, contemporary cities and adventures among pirates. Password: have fun.

Furthermore, if you missed the Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2019, the famous exhibition with the prizes awarded to the homonymous photography contest, you are still in time. The hundred images chosen will be visible until December 22nd, at the Matalon Foundation.

The same goes for De Chirico's exhibition at the Palazzo Reale: the exhibition was in fact prolonged until 19 January 2020, and represents a real journey within the artist's imagination, with works from major international museums including including the Metropolitan Museum of New York and the Tate Modern in London. A unique opportunity to make a small gift before Christmas.
